Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Whitehill on January 19.

It happened at an address in Waldown Road-a garden shed was broken into and a red ride-on lawn mower was stolen. Two youths were spotted in the area acting suspiciously and police would like to trace them.

They are described as:

• White

• 13-17 years old

• 5ft 2 and 5 ft 5 tall

• Clean pale complexions

• Dark hair or wearing beanie style woolly hats

• Slim to average build

• Wearing dark coloured hooded tops and dark coloured trousers

PC Simon Denton who is investigating said: “This is an unusual incident. A witness has reported seeing two youths by the junction of Conde Way and Apollo Drive. They were pushing a ride on mower up a slight embankment on to open ground.

“We would urgently like to speak to these youths. Do you know who they are? Have you been offered a red ride on mower for sale?”
