Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed following an altercation in Kingston Road, Fratton.
The incident happened between 6.50pm and 7pm on Monday (Mar7) close to shops and traffic lights at the junction with New Road.
The victim, a 29-year-old Southsea man sustained stab wounds to his back and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment. He is now recovering at home.
DC Amanda Waite of Fratton CID, said: "There were lots of people around at the time of the incident so its possible someone may have seen how this altercation came about and can assist with our enquiries."
