Police appeal for information after car stolen in Basingstoke

 Police are appealing for information after a Ford Sierra was stolen from outside a house in Cairngorm Close in Buckskin.

The white car was stolen between 12.05am and 3.10am on Friday, January 27. The car was seen by police shortly after it has been stolen near to the junction of Vivian Road and Oakridge Road in Oakridge, but the driver decamped and ran into Coleman Close in Oakridge.

The man is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall and of a skinny build. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and possibly a baseball cap.

PC Jon Hayes said: “I would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in Cairngorm Close that night, or who saw the man decamp from the car.”
