Press Releases

Published: 21/02/2011

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a home in Chalet Hill, Bordon on February 3.

The incident happened between 3.30pm and 9.30pm while the 91-year-old female resident was out.

Offenders took approximately £2,000 worth of items, which include:

• 1920s christening mug - solid silver

• 1940s mappin and webb fruit bowl - solid silver

• 1940s toast rack - solid silver

• 1940s sugar bowl and milk jug - solid silver

• 1940s cream jug - solid silver

• 1970s napkin rings - solid silver

• Large cameo broach - gold coloured metal

• Two strings of cultured pearls

• Two long chains - gold coloured metal

• Bar broach - solid silver

• Gold coloured metal ring with three diamonds

PC Dale Pusey of Alton Targeted Patrol Team, said: “These items are of great sentimental value and for that reason are absolutely irreplaceable.

“Chalet Hill is a busy road and there would have been many people in the area between these times.

"We’re hoping to hear from someone who could have information to progress our enquiries, however insignificant that information may seem to be.

“Equally, if you or someone you know has been offered any of these items for sale or as gifts, please get in touch.”
