Police are appealing for information after a woman was indecently assaulted in Portsmouth.
At some time between 1am and 1.35am on Wednesday, December 30 the victim, who is aged in her 40s, was walking alone along Leominster Road, Cosham, when she was indecently assaulted and then grabbed by an unknown man from behind.
The woman struggled and the man ran away.
The victim did not require medical treatment.
The man is described as white and wearing a grey hooded jumper.
PC Trevor Peckham, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a lone woman which took place in the early hours of the morning.
“I would urge anyone with any information about this incident to come forward and speak to us. Were you in the area at the time of incident? Did you see or hear anything suspicious? Do you have any other information that could help? If you have any information please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.”
