Police are appealing for information after four outbuildings were broken into at premises in Monxton Road, near to Andover.

Between 9.30pm on Thursday, August 6 and 8am on Friday, August 7, the padlocks to four separate units had been broken to allow entry.

Three of the single storey units had nothing removed from them, but chainsaws and a hedge trimmer had been stolen from the fourth.

Two ‘T Stihl’ chainsaws, a ‘Husqvarna’ top handle saw, three ‘Husqvarna’ chainsaws and a ‘Husqvarna’ hedge trimmer were all taken from inside the fourth unit, totalling over £2500 in value.

PC Simon Merritt said, “Though this happened overnight the offenders would have made noise breaking into the secure units, and may have also had a vehicle to transport the heavy goods they took. If anyone heard or saw anything, or sees any of the items stolen for sale, please contact police.”

Can you help?

Southern Crimestoppers Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Merritt at Andover police station on 0845 045 45 45 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111. Mini-Com users can call 01962 875000.
