Police appeal following a road rage incident in Eastleigh

Police in Eastleigh are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in his car as he waited at a set of traffic lights as the M3 northbound junction 13 on-slip joins Leigh Road.

The incident happened just before 1.15pm yesterday, Tuesday, April 12.

The man who was assaulted was driving a green coloured Peugeot 406, he left the M3 at the same time as a maroon coloured 4x4 vehicle, believed to be a Toyota.

The man reported to police that the driver of the 4x4 pulled up behind him at the lights, got out of his vehicle and punched the man twice in the face through the open car window. T

he man wound up the window and the other driver continued to punch the window. The lights turned green and the man drove away

The man sustained slight reddening to his face as a result of the incident.

The offender is described as:

• White with a tanned complexion
• Aged 35 to 40 years of age
• Approximately 6ft tall
• Medium to stocky build
• Short brown cropped hair
