Police are appealing for information after a youth was assaulted whilst making his way home from a night out in Portsmouth.
Between midnight and 12.30am on Saturday, September 19, a 17-year-old boy was walking home from an evening at the Milton Arms pub.
As he walked down Carisbrooke Road he was approached by a group who attacked him and left him unconscious.
The youth attended hospital and received treatment to a broken jaw. It is possible that he may require surgery in the future.
Detective Constable Mel Sinclair said, “This was a vicious attack and we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward – there may have been people in the area who saw or heard what happened, and I’d ask them to contact police as soon as possible.”
