Police are appealing for information after a woman’s house was broken into and her television stolen while she slept upstairs at her house in Cleveland Road, Portsmouth.
Between 1am and 8am on Monday, January 4, the front door to the house was forced open and the offender took the black 32inch flat screen Toshiba television from the lounge.
The television was only bought within the last year, and is worth £550.
The woman who lives at the property, who is in her 80s, woke to find the television gone, and that the front door had not been closed properly, as she left it when she went to bed.
PC James Garrett said, “The woman has been left understandably very upset by this incident, and I am appealing for anyone with information to contact me. Did you see anyone suspicious in the area in the early hours of Monday morning? Have you been offered this television? If you think you can help please call the police.”
Can you help?
