Police are appealing for witnesses after a girl was slapped in the face whilst at a bus stop in Northern Road, Portsmouth.
At around 9.20am on Wednesday, October 15, a 15-year-old girl from Cosham was at the bus stop opposite the Post Office delivery building, when she was approached by two women.
One of the women confronted the girl and then slapped her across the left side of her face, before walking away.
The girl was left with reddening and soreness on her cheek, and was very shocked and upset by what had happened.
The woman who slapped the girl is described as:
- White
- Around 27 years old
- 5ft 2ins tall
- Medium build
- Long blonde hair, worn in a ponytail
- Wearing black trousers with a Burberry style pattern on the bottom, and a dark blue jacket
PC Sharon Lewry said, “This incident took place at a time when many would have been out and about or on their way to work, and we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward assist us in this investigation.”
