Police appeal after parrots stolen from Shipton Bellinger

Mobile phone image of stolen parrotsPolice are appealing for information after two parrots were stolen from an address in Shipton Bellinger.

Between 10am on Aug 14 and 1pm on Aug 15 the front door to the property in Salisbury Road was forced open, where the offender(s) stole a bird cage and the two African grey parrots inside.

The parrots are worth around £800 each, and the cage around £300. Other valuable items in the property were left.

PC Roger Kitson said, "These are rare birds which are of sentimental value to their owner. If you know anything about this burglary or see oe hear of these birds being for sale, please contact police as soon as possible."
