Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was injured with a knife during an incident which took place this morning; Thursday, May 14.

Between 10.40am and 11.10am, a 27-year-old man from Southsea became involved in an altercation with two other men in the car park area of Crabbe Court, Portsmouth.

The lone man walked away from the pair, towards Warwick Crescent, where he was joined by another man.

The two men left in Crabbe Court then also walked off in the same direction, before turning down an alleyway leading onto Waterloo Road.

The 27-year-old man, who had originally been alone, had a deep cut to the inside of his arm, and was taken to Queen Alexandra hospital for treatment, where he required surgery for his injury.

Detective Constable Daisy Sharma said, “We believe that there were a number of people in the area at the time of this incident who may have heard or seen what happened and I would urge them to contact us with any information they have.

“This man was seriously injured. Incidents involving knives are rare; however knife crime is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in Portsmouth. If you think you can help please call the police immediately.”

A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from London, have been arrested in connection with this incident and are currently still in police custody.

Can you help?
