Police appeal after man dies in Andover

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident where man died in Andover.

Around 12.30 this afternoon (Friday August 21), police were called following an altercation in King George Road.

A 38-year-old man was taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Police are carrying out numerous enquiries in the area, including house to house visits and officers speaking to residents.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested and is currently assisting police with their investigation.
