Police appeal after cyclist injured in Portsmouth

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident on Kingston Crescent in Portsmouth where a cyclist was involved in a collision.
At around 4.55pm on Thursday, July 24, a 13-year-old boy from central Portsmouth was crossing the road, from the direction of Stamshaw Road towards the Premier Inn.
He waited on the pavement and a car in the left hand lane paused and indicated for the boy to cross.
As he did so and moved across to the second lane he was struck by a silver car, believed to be a BMW.
The silver car did not stop and continued on towards London Road. The boy received a cut to his right knee but did not require any hospital treatment.
PC James Chapman, investigating the incident, said, “I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident or particularly the driver of the silver car, to get in touch and tell us what you saw.”
