Police are appealing for information after a woman’s car was damaged by a man in Southsea.
Between 9pm and 11pm on Thursday, November 6, a 28-year-old local woman was driving her grey Peugeot 106 car down Pelham Road when a man stepped out in the road.
The man was shouting at the woman, and she realised she had not switched her car headlights on. She turned them on and continued driving.
As she passed him, the man leant forwards and hit her headlight with a torch he was holding, causing damage to the headlight.
The man is described as being between 40 and 50 years old, and wearing beige trousers and a beige jumper.
PC Stephanie Lansley said, “This was an unnecessary incident and a rare occurrence in this area. If anyone heard or saw anything I’d ask them to contact police and assist us in identifying this man.”
