Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a property in High Street, Hamble.
Between 11.15am and 10pm on Sunday, August 9, the patio doors at the back of the house were forced open to gain entry.
Once inside, the offender(s) searched through cupboards and draws before taking a large amount of foreign currency; around £600 worth of Chinese yuan, Hong Kong dollars and Taiwanese dollars, as well as 50 euros.
A side window was also broken during the incident.
PC Matthew Tyson said, “We are carrying out a number of enquiries relating to this incident, and have recovered a footwear impression left by an offender at the scene. We are appealing for information from anyone who can help; are you aware of someone having obtained money in the currencies stolen? Or did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area on that day? Please contact police if you can help.”
