Police are appealing for information after a branch of Boots in Palmerston Road, Southsea, was broken into.
At 3.30am on Saturday, October 25, the store was broken into by breaking the glass panel in one of the front doors, which faces onto the pedestrian area of Palmerston Road.
Once inside the offender (or offenders) broke the front of a display cabinet and stole numerous boxes of perfume and aftershave.
Police are currently awaiting the results of a stock take to establish how many items were taken and their value. CCTV from the store is also being reviewed.
Sergeant Melanie Adcock said, “I would ask that anyone who may have been in the area and saw or heard anything suspicious, perhaps as they made their way home from a night out, should contact police. As we are approaching Christmas it may be that these items are offered for sale, and so if you see or hear of this practice please report it.”
