Police appeal after burglars steal £10,000 of equipment from a Southampton golf club
Press Releases

Police investigating a burglary at the Stoneham Golf Club in Monks Wood Close, Southampton are appealing for information about the crime.
They are also looking to locate the £10,000 worth of stock which was taken from the clubs shop and are asking anyone who is at all suspicious about any new golfing equipment they are offered to contact them. It’s likely those who stole the goods will look to sell them on quickly at a discount price.
The owner of the club’s golfing shop was alerted to the break-in about 10pm last night, Monday January 5, after an alarm went off.
A white van was seen driving out of the club at the time.
Police later made five arrests at an address in the Rowhams area. Those arrested are four men and a woman all aged in their early 20s.
They are currently being questioned by police.
It’s believed that around £10,000 worth of golf clubs were taken. In particular brand new Tailormade and Titleist clubs. The Titleist clubs that were taken are not yet available to buy in most stores so are very rare.
Anyone who thinks they may have been offered any of the clubs or has any information about where the stolen clubs are is asked to call the Southampton Prolific Offender Team at Hulse Road on 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
