Police are appealing for information after a man’s bag was stolen as he walked down the A3057, also known as the Romsey bypass, heading towards Broadlands roundabout.

At 11.30pm on Thursday, August 13, the 25-year-old man from Romsey was walking along the pavement when he was approached by a group of three youths.

Two of the youths grabbed the bag the man was carrying, and the group ran off.

The man was unharmed. The bag was a grey Diesel satchel style bag, containing black sports shoes, a pair of black shorts, an Apple iPhone and a charger.

The group were all white and aged in their early teens, of slim build and all wearing hooded jumpers with the hoods pulled up. One of the jumpers had a zip up the front and was McKenzie branded.

PC Amanda Lockey said, “ I would appeal for anyone with any information in relation to this incident to contact me – have you seen these items offered for sale or a group matching this description on the night in question?”

Can you help?
