Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old was assaulted in Basingstoke on Tuesday, May 12.
At around 8.30am the 12-year-old girl was walking to school along Queen Mary Avenue when she was grabbed by a man who pushed her to the floor.
The girl then got up and ran home.
The man is described as:
- White
- Aged between 25 and 30
- 6ft tall
- Clean shaven
- Big eyes and a long, big nose
- Wearing a dark blue hooded top, brown trousers and white trainers
PC Clair Chegwidden, of the Basingstoke Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This was a completely unprovoked assault against a young innocent girl.
“It happened at a time when other people would have been around making their way to work or school.
“We would ask any witnesses to come forward and anyone with information about the man to contact police as soon as possible.”
