Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Farnborough on Sunday, July 26.

Between 2.30am and 3am a 20-year-old man was walking home along Hawley Lane when he was approached by a group of men.

One of the men grabbed him from behind, pushed him to the floor and the group then kicked and punched him.

The victim suffered a suspected broken nose and bruising and swelling following the assault and received treatment at Frimley Park Hospital.

Officers believe a group of young men aged in their late teens and wearing hooded tops were responsible for the attack.

PC Andy Young, of the Farnborough Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This incident happened in the early hours of the morning when few people would have been around.

“However someone may have been disturbed by the attack and saw the group responsible.

“We would ask anyone with any information to contact us as soon as possible.”

Can you help?
