Police appeal after Basingstoke robbery

Police in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Cranbourne on Friday, October 10.

At around 9.30pm two 16-year-old boys were walking along Kingsmill Road when they were approached by another two teenagers who were wearing black hooded tops.

The two teenagers chased after the victims and caught up with one and knocked him to the ground. They then stole his bag, a mobile phone and a gold chain.

PC Christopher Pike, of Basingstoke police station, said: “This was a serious incident in which an innocent member of the public was targeted.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed it or anyone who has any information about it.”
