Paulsgrove Residents urged to join Neighbourhood Watch with police
Press Releases

Residents from Paulsgrove in Cosham are invited to come down to a meeting with their local police officers and Neighbourhood Watch Representative on Monday, June 13.
The meeting, which is being held at the Healthy Living Centre on Allaway Avenue in Paulsgrove, is open to all members of the community who are interested in improving where they live.
PCSO Rob Manns of the Paulsgrove Safer Neighbourhoods team explained: “We’re holding this event to encourage people to join up to new Neighbourhood Watch schemes and look after the area they live.
“These schemes help to improve people’s quality of life, encouraging people to look after each other and improve community cohesion. They also help police, which in turn can make where Neighbourhood Watch residents live a better place.”
At present there is only one Neighbourhood Watch scheme running in Port Solent, however officers are keen to increase this number and develop schemes across the area.
Members of public who are interested are invited to come down to the Healthy Living Centre between 10.30am and 1pm, to find out how they can set up schemes and improve their community.
PCSO Manns continued: “If you feel there are issues in your community that affect your quality of life, a Neighbourhood Watch scheme could be the answer. These schemes can help alleviate problems such a parking issues, anti-social behaviour, and criminal damage. It’s a great way for you to gather information in your area and tell the police. Together, we can put a stop to community issues before they develop.”
