A 48-year-old Fordingbridge man remains in a critical but stable condition following a serious collision in Hyde on Tuesday.

The driver was travelling in a black Mahindra Indian Chief along Hyde Lane at around 8.20pm when he lost control of the vehicle which hit a bank and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he remains in intensive care.

Anyone who saw the crash or the vehicle prior to it, is asked to contact PC Mike Batten of Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Velvetine.

Alternatively, call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
