Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a motorcyclist on Havant Road, Farlington.
At 10.35pm yesterday, (Sunday) a Sonika motorcycle travelling west along Havant Road left the road and collided with a keep left bollard near to the junction with East Park Lodge.
The rider, a 21-year-old man from Paulsgrove, Portsmouth, was thrown from the vehicle and as a result of the collision his helmet came off.
He sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a life threatening condition.
The road was closed for approximately four hours as crash investigators examined the scene and recovered the motorcycle.
