Operation Nemesis: Man charged with carrying out series of burglaries in Southampton

Police investigating a series of burglaries in Southampton and Waterlooville have charged a 31-year-old man with four burglaries and two counts of obtaining property by deception.
Officers from the Southampton Burglary Investigation Team charged Christopher Clarke from Southcliff Road, Southampton with Burglaries at two addresses in Middle Street, Portswood, another in Athelstan Road in Bitterne and a fourth at Hazelton Way, Waterlooville.
The burglaries have all happened since mid November. He is also accused of obtaining property by deception by selling goods that were not his to sell to Cash Converters in Shirley and Pawnbrokers LTD in Leigh Road, Eastleigh.
He was due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates this morning, Monday, January 19.
