Operation Leader - Police name motorcyclist who died following crash on A339
Police have named a man who died following a fatal crash on the A339 on Saturday, July 24.
Wesley Botha, of Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, was travelling north towards Basingstoke when he was in collision with a tractor near to the turning for the Fur and Feathers Pub at Herriard.
The 23-year-old, who was a soldier from Bordon, sustained serious life threatening injuries as a result of the crash, which happened at about 11.40am.
He was taken to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke, where he sadly died.
The tractor driver, a 16-year-old boy from Basingstoke, was uninjured.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch.
