Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a bicycle and a car on the B2150 at Grenville Hall, Droxford, on Friday.
Police were called shortly after 2pm to reports that a 65-year-old man, who had been cycling a Ridgeback pushbike, had been in collision with a green Volkswagen Passat.
The cyclist, from Swanmore, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham by road ambulance. The air ambulance and a BASICS doctor also attended the scene.
The Passat driver, from Portchester area, was uninjured but suffering from shock.
The road was closed for four hours whilst collision investigators conducted an examination of the scene.
