Operation Gingham – Woman seriously injured following A303 crash

Police are appealing for witness after a woman was seriously injured following a crash on the A303.

Shortly after 1am on Monday, October 11, a Vauxhall Corsa travelling eastbound on A303 from Salisbury towards the M3 northbound.

The car, driven by a 22-year-old woman from Salisbury, left the road just before the half-a-mile marker for the A34, and collided with a tree, before coming to rest down a steep embankment.

The woman sustained life threatening injuries and is currently being treated at Southampton General Hospital.

Both the rear-seat passenger and the front-seat passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke for treatment.
