Poilce are appelaing for witnesses to a collision in which a 14-year-old girl was seriously injured.
The incident happened shortly before 8.30am today as the teenager crossed London Road to make her way to school.
A Vauxhall Passat which was travelling eastbound along London Road when it was in collision with the child.
The 14-year-old sustained multiple fractures and serious head injuries and was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxfordshire by Surrey Air Ambulance.
The Passat driver, a 26-year-old Oxford man, was shaken but uninjured.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or the car or child prior to it, to contact PC Neil Lancaster of Farnborough Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Gaida.
