Operation Cuckmere - Police name cyclist who died in Bentworth, near Alton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found lying next to her bicycle in Station Road, Bentworth, on Monday. (July 19)

Jacqueline Billington, of Victoria Road, Alton, was discovered by a passer by shortly after 1pm. She was lying in a verge in Station Road, near to Bellhanger Cottages.

The 66-year-old was taken to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke where she sadly died.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit at Whitchurch are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened to Mrs Billington or seen her cycling prior to the incident, to get in touch.
