Operation Corvid update - body discovered in Portsmouth

Officers are continuing with their enquiries tonight following the discovery of a body near to the Hot Walls in Old Portsmouth this morning (Friday, February 5).

The man, aged in his early 20s, was discovered by a member of the public at around 8am.

A post mortem examination has taken place, and established that the man died as a result of drowning.

The man has not yet been formally identified.

Officers investigating the incident are currently treating the death as suspicious.
