Op Firefly – Police name man who died following Fareham crash

Police are now in a position to name the man who died following a collision on Stubbington Lane, Fareham on December 7.

Brian Barnes, 74, from Fareham, was driving his black Peugeot 207 Sport when he was in collision with a blue Aprilia Sonic moped, shortly after 11.30am.

Mr Barnes, lost consciousness at the scene and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, where he later died.

The rider of the scooter, a 42-year-old Fareham woman sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
