Southampton officers have arrested four people and seized drugs worth more than £20,000, after executing a warrant at an address in Lordshill.
Officers from Southampton’s Priority Crime Team called at a property in Northolt Gardens, Lordshill, yesterday (Monday, April 19), where they found thousands of pills (believed to be Ecstasy tablets) and a large quantity of powder, believed to be cocaine.
The drugs have a potential, combined, street value in excess of £20,000 and cash, believed to be in excess of £7,000, was also seized from the address.
A 21-year-old man, a 43-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman, all from the Southampton area, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and are currently in police custody. The four were also arrested under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
Det Insp Linda Howard from Southampton Central police station, said: “These arrests send out a clear message that if you are involved in drugs supply in Southampton we will act on intelligence we receive and we will find you.
“Drugs ruin lives and if you have any information about drugs supply in your neighbourhood please contact the police. We will act on good information received and our priority is to make our neighbourhoods safe and secure places to live and work.”
