New police beat surgeries to be held in Southsea
Press Releases
Published:
26/01/2011
Police from Portsmouth’s Eastney and Milton Safer Neighbourhoods team are holding a set of new beat surgeries for 2011 to meet members of the public.
Officers from the two teams have organised the new surgeries at the Beddow Library in Milton Road, Southsea for members of the community to let their voices be heard about issues that matter to them.
PCSO Nicola Manning from the Eastney and Milton teams said: “Helping people to feel safe and secure in the area they live is a priority for us, and this is why we have set up these new surgeries.
“This is your opportunity to meet your local police officers and speak to us about anything you feel is an issue where you live. If you have any concerns about better securing your property or yourself, we will be happy to arrange house visits and demonstrate staying secure.
“Some people prefer to meet officers and report things in this way rather than have officers visit their homes, and it is a good way for people to provide us with any intelligence they may have.”
The first Beddow Library beat surgery will be held on Tuesday, February 1, and will run from 5.30pm until 6.30pm.
If you would like more information about your local officers, you can call 101 and ask for your local Safer Neighbourhoods team. Alternatively you can log on to www.hampshire.police.uk and click on
