Motorcyclist dies in New Forest crash
Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a collision with a car on Ringwood Road, Fritham.
At about 6.40pm on Tuesday, September 14, three Norton motorcycles were travelling north from the A31 on Ringwood Road, near to the Oknell Caravan and Camping site.
A 50-year-old man who was driving the lead motorcycle was in collision with a green Honda CRV car travelling in the opposite direction as he entered a right-hand bend, approximately one mile from the A31.
The man sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 29-year-old driver of the car was treated for shock at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
The other two motorcyclists were not injured.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the motorcycles prior to the collision to contact police.
