Missing couple from Plymouth seen in the New Forest area
Five months after going missing, Plymouth police are making a fresh appeal for missing couple Charlotte and Jake/Amyrose Addams.
The couple went missing from their home in Plymouth on Wednesday 21 April 2010 leaving behind their 10 year old daughter.
At the time of the disappearance Jake, also known as Amyrose, was going through a gender reassignment process.
Since they went missing police have followed a number of enquires which so far have been unsuccessful in locating the couple.
Last week, following an appeal in the Police Gazette, police received a reported sighting at the New Forest and Hampshire County Show which took place between Tuesday 27 July and Thursday 29th July 2010.
DC Louise Steele said: “It’s possible the couple are somewhere in the Hampshire area and we’re keen to hear from anyone in Hampshire or the New Forest area who may have some information about the whereabouts of this couple.
“The person making the reported sighting said he saw Amyrose leaving a female restroom, saying you could clearly see it was a man dressed as a woman and his appearance was drawing a great deal of attention. They also recall a number of exhibitors staring, in particular two females dressed in medieval clothing who had been seen previously working on a blacksmiths stall. It is understood that the block of toilets were close to the antiques tent.
“If this helps to jog anyone’s memory and they have some information, no matter how small in detail, I would urge them to contact us.”
Charlotte, 30, is described as being 5ft tall, with short dyed red hair, nose piercings and tribal tattoos on the base of her neck and the side of her left calf.
Jake/Amyrose, 38, is 5ft 11 in tall, of heavy build and with brown, shoulder-length receding hair.
He also has tattoos on the inside of his left forearm and on his right shoulder.
Anyone with information as to their whereabouts is asked to contact the Devon and Cornwall Police on 08452 777 444, quoting log number 114 of 220410.
