Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Gordon Avenue, Southampton on Friday, November 18.
Officers were called at 6.08pm this evening after the incident in Gordon Avenue in which a 30-year-old Eastleigh man sustained a serious stab wound to his leg. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he underwent surgery and is now described as stable.
The male assailant was seen to make off a mountain bike. Gordon Avenue was cordoned off at both ends for a couple of hours for a crime scene investigation but has now re-opened.
Inquiries are still focussing on identifying his attacker, but officers believe that the incident was the result of a dispute between two men who had arranged to meet up with each other.
The suspect is described as: Asian Mid 20s 5ft 8ins tall Short dark hair He rode a dark coloured mountain bike. Police are still seeking the weapon used.
