His mother, 52 year old Elizabeth Scouarnec, was found dead at her home in Northern Parade on February 12, 2009.

Detective Inspector Jackie Rowlands, who led the investigation, said, “This has been a long and complex case for the police. The death of Elizabeth Scouarnec shocked the local community, and we are pleased to have been able to bring this case to a successful conclusion.

“This enquiry involved a great many people, from officers and staff to the witnesses who assisted us in our work. I would like to thank all those who helped us get to where we are today, and achieve justice for Mrs Scouarnec.”
