Man charged with historic sexual offences

Yesterday (Tuesday, May 24), three men were arrested in relation to a joint investigation between Hampshire Constabulary and Northumbria Police into four sexual assaults which took place in the 1980s and 1990s.
The men were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, indecent assault and rape.
David Edward Bryant, 64, of Ulverston, Cumbria, has tonight .been charged with four counts of kidnapping and indecent assault and will appear before Newcastle Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Thursday, May 26).
The two other men arrested have been released with no further action.
