A 37-year-old man has been charged with arson after the bins were set on fire at the Southampton Park Hotel in Cumberland Place on Wednesday night, May 6 at around 11.30pm.
The man was arrested at the scene.
Phillip Wheeler from Kent Street in Southampton has been charged with arson and is due to appear before Southampton Magistrates today Friday, May 8.
