Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted on a motorway bridge in Farnborough.

It happened on Wednesday November 16 between 6.30 and 7pm.

A 17-year-old local man was walking across the little brook bridge that leads up to the Curly Bridge (Cheyne Way side).

He told police that he felt a blow to the back, which knocked him to the ground. He was then repeatedly kicked and punched. He suffered a fractured wrist and bruising to his face and hands.

PC Campbell Patrick who is investigating said: “The man walked across Grange Park (Moor Side Park) just before the attack-and we believe there were people in the park. They could have seen something, and I’d ask these people to come forward if they can help .

“The man’s mobile phone is missing and this may have been taken during the assault.”
