Full Major IT company donate a laptop and printer to The Blue Lamp Trust
Computacenter (UK) has evidenced growing business support for the charity by kindly donating a Lenovo laptop and an HP printer to The Blue Lamp Trust on 10 January 2011.
The aims of the Trust are to reduce crime and the fear of crime within homes and businesses, to promote improved driving standards and road safety and educate on all aspects of fire safety and fire prevention. The Trust is a partnership between the Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and local businesses.
Businesses all over Hampshire are being invited to join the Blue Lamp Trust and as part of the membership package they will receive various benefits including vocational Driver Awareness Training, which will improve the driving skills of those who regularly drive for business and help employers evidence their ongoing commitment to their Duty of Care to their employees.
One of the main functions of the Trust will be to fund the Bobby Trust. This is a service that has been in existence for 12 years, employing two fitters to provide reassurance and security for victims of crime by fitting features such as door and window locks, burglar alarms and fire alarms. The Trust also provides small grants to community based projects that focus on crime prevention and reduction.
