Detectives investigating the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl in the Leigh Park area of Havant during the early hours of Friday morning have closed their investigation.
Officers have this evening ended inquiries after the allegation was withdrawn.
Detective Inspector Dave Sackman said: “Following a thorough investigation which has continued throughout the weekend, we are now content that no assault took place, and would like to reassure the community who live and travel through this area.”
