Investigation launched after serious assault in Portsmouth

Detectives are investigating an assault in Portsmouth where a man was seriously injured.

At around 11.54pm on Thursday, May 13, an 18-year-old man, thought to be from the Wiltshire area, was involved in an altercation in the car park on Alec Rose Lane, at the rear of Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth.

The man was taken to the Queen Alexandra hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

A road closure is currently in place between the junction of Alec Rose Lane and Guildhall Walk, to where the road links with Dorothy Dymond Street, and the car park where the incident took place has also been closed while enquiries are carried out.
