Detectives are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Southsea.
At some time between 3.40am and 3.57am on Friday, May 15, the 20-year-old victim was walking along Lawson Road, Southsea after a night out.
He was approached by a man who became aggressive and demanded he hand over his property. The victim handed over some items and was then hit several times by the offender.
The man police want to speak to is described as:
• White
• In his early 20s
• Short brown hair
• Clean shaven
• Between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins
• Normal build
• Wearing a brown and cream horizontal striped jumper
• Spoke with a local accent
Detective Constable Lorraine Bell, said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to come forward. “The offender made off with bank cards and a mobile phone.
“Lawson Road meets with Fawcett Road which are usually a busy areas for taxis. I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or recalls seeing someone in the area who matches the description of the offender.”
