Identify local graffiti taggers using the new graffiti gallery
Press Releases
Published:
22/07/2009
Hampshire Constabulary is working with the charity Crimestoppers to create a graffiti gallery for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight which you are being encouraged to use to identify local graffiti taggers.
If you have a number of distinctive graffiti tags in your local neighbourhood and want the offender to be identified, then take a photo of the graffiti and send it to Crimestoppers detailing where it was taken.
Each image needs a council district, an area and a location e.g. Winchester, Badger Farm, North wall of Sainsbury’s. Photos can be uploaded to the website using the online form.
Also have a look through the gallery and see if you can identify and name any of the taggers. If you can identify any of the tags in the gallery you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or use the online form.
Graffiti is criminal damage and as part of the three month summer anti-social behaviour campaign we are working with local communities to tackle this issue and reduce the number of incidents of graffiti.
As part of this campaign all police staff and officers will be taking part in this initiative to help their local policing teams to reduce the number of anti-social behaviour incidents.
To view the gallery and to submit your own photos visit the
Crimestoppers graffiti gallery for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
