An 18-year old man from Southampton has been charged with causing death by careless driving.
Stuart Alan West from Southampton has been bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Monday August 16.
It follows a fatal road traffic collision on the A33, The Avenue, Southampton, on Monday January 18.
The collision involved a Peugeot 206 and a pedestrian, 69-year-old Richard John Ansty from Padwell Road who subsequently died as a result of his injuries.
