Detectives in Alton are appealing for help in finding a woman who has been missing for two weeks. Leanne Turnbull, aged 34, went missing on September 14.

She was last seen at Sainsbury’s in Alton at about 9.15am and then at 1st Gear Cycles bike shop in the High Street. Leanne, who lives in Stubbs Road, Basingstoke, had been staying at her partners house in Orchard Lane, Alton.

She suffers from epilepsy and it is believed she hasn’t got any medication with her. Officers will be conducting stop checks at three locations in the Alton area today (Wednesday, September 28) between 9am and 12pm, two weeks to the day after she went missing.

Teams will be handing out leaflets and speaking to members of the public at Orchard Lane where it meets Orchard Terrace, outside 1st Gear Cycles in the High Street, and on the B30004 at its junction with Windmill Lane.

Acting Detective Sergeant Ewan Gardner said: “Leanne has now been missing for two weeks and we continue to appeal to the public to tell us any information they may have about her whereabouts. “We hope that by conducting these stop checks it may jog someone’s memory about what they may have seen two weeks ago.

“If you have seen Leanne or know where she is, please contact me immediately. Equally I appeal to Leanne herself to get in touch and let me know she’s ok.”
