Detectives are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were robbed in Basingstoke.
The victim – a 17-year-old boy – had arranged to meet a friend at Kimberley Road in Basingstoke, on October 31 at about 4.30pm. He went with his friend, a 19-year-old man.
The pair went to Kimberley Road and were then approached by three teenage males who attacked them and searched for their phones and wallets. The 17-year-old was punched in the face and his mobile phone was stolen.
The three offenders then ran off towards Sandy Close.
One of the offenders is described as fair skinned, aged between 17 and 19, about 5ft 8ins tall and of a medium build. He had short black hair and was wearing a grey top and blue jeans. He was carrying a grey plastic baton, which looked like the leg of a plastic chair. Another of the offenders is described as fair skinned, aged between 17 and 19, about 5ft 7ins tall and of a slim build. He also had short black hair and was wearing a dark top and tracksuit bottoms. He was also carrying a grey plastic baton.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with this incident. Shane Iles of Auklet Close, Basingstoke, has been charged with robbery and was due to appear at Winchester magistrates court today. (November 7)
